Chicken liver is a healthy product that helps improve brain function, thyroid function, strengthen teeth, and helps get rid of insomnia and stress. There are many ways to cook this offal, but stewing it in sour cream is one of the most delicious.
Ingredients:
- Chicken liver 600 g
- Sour cream 20% 500 g
- Onion 1 piece
- Butter 20 g
- Milk 500 ml
- Salt 1/3 tsp
- Ground black pepper 1/4 tsp

- Parsley for relish
Directions:
- Wash the chicken liver thoroughly.
- Put the prepared liver in a deep bowl, pour in milk, and leave for 20 minutes. After the specified time, remove the milk and cut the liver into small pieces.
- Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Put the chopped onion and fry until golden brown.
- Put the liver in the frying pan with the onion. Fry, stirring, until the color changes (5-7 minutes). Salt and pepper.
- Pour sour cream over the contents of the frying pan and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve the finished chicken liver in sour cream with onions, placing it on a portion of mashed potatoes or any other side dish and garnishing with fresh herbs. Soaking in milk makes the liver soft, tender, and removes the bitterness from the offal. Sour cream gives it a creamy taste, and onions give it juiciness.
