Cod liver has a unique, delicate taste and a high content of useful substances. Thanks to this, regular use of this product ensures healthy vision, bones, and joints. Salads and snacks are most often prepared with it. If desired, you can add finely chopped cucumber.
Ingredients:
- Cod liver 120 g
- Chicken eggs 2 pcs.
- Green onion – to taste
- Salt – to taste
Directions:
- To prepare cod liver salad with onions, put chicken eggs in a saucepan. Pour water, salt and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for about 15 minutes, and then cool in ice water.
- Peel the finished eggs, wash them, and cut them into large cubes. Place in a deep bowl.
- Finely chop the green onion with a knife and send it to the bowl with the egg, leaving a part of the onion to decorate the dish.
- Open a can of canned cod liver and pour the contents into a bowl with eggs and onions. It is not necessary to drain the oil in advance; it can be sent to the salad together with the liver.
- Gently mash the liver with a fork. Mix the contents of the bowl, trying to evenly distribute the cod liver. Taste the salad and add salt if necessary. Place a salad ring on a serving plate. Put cod liver salad with egg and green onion in it, tamp it down a bit, and carefully remove the ring. Garnish the salad with the remaining green onions and serve.
- Salted cod liver is harmoniously complemented by neutral-tasting eggs and juicy, slightly hot green onions. Due to the high content of protein and fat, this dish is filling, so serve it for lunch or dinner.
