Pasta With Shrimps in Tomato Sauce

The use of seafood is a characteristic feature of Mediterranean cuisine. They are added to salads and main dishes. For example, pasta with shrimp in tomato sauce is not at all uncommon. With its excellent taste, it will pleasantly surprise seafood lovers.

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti – 500 g
  • Northern shrimp – 500 g
  • White wine – 100 ml
  • Pistachios – 50 g
  • Butter – 25 g
  • Tomato paste – 25 g
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Parsley – to taste
  • Olive oil – 100 ml
  • Carrots – 1 piece
  • Onions – 1 piece
  • Ground cloves – 1/5 tsp
  • Wheat flour – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Ground black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Water – 4 l

Directions:

  1. Boil the shrimp in salted water until done and peel.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic, grate the carrot.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Put in the shells, finely chopped onion and carrot.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the garlic and tomato paste, and pour in the wine. As soon as the wine evaporates, pour in 1 liter of water. Add the cloves and salt. Cook for another 20 minutes and strain.
  5. Mix 1/3 of the resulting broth with 3 liters of water. Salt and boil the spaghetti in this water.
  6. Heat the butter in a saucepan. Add flour, pour in the remaining shrimp broth and cook, stirring, until thickened.
    Chop the greens, coarsely chop the pre-peeled pistachios. Put the spaghetti and shrimp in the finished sauce. Sprinkle with a pinch of pepper, fresh herbs, and pistachios. Mix thoroughly and serve.
  7. Pasta with shrimp in tomato sauce is a restaurant-quality dish with a truly exquisite taste. Cooked in shrimp broth, the pasta acquires a characteristic taste and aroma. It is complemented by tender shrimp and homemade tomato sauce, which adds sweet and sour notes. And crushed pistachios create a contrast of textures.
