Fragrant tomato sauce, tender minced chicken, and perfect pasta – what could be better? Pasta Bolognese with minced chicken is a classic of Italian cuisine in an easy and quick version.
Ingredients:
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Carrots – 1 cup (peeled and finely grated or chopped)
- Celery – 1 cup (finely chopped)
- Onion – 1 cup (finely chopped)
- Garlic – 2 cloves (finely chopped)
- Minced chicken – 450 g
- Spicy Italian sausage – 225 g (without casing)
- Tomato sauce – 700 ml
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Ground black pepper – ½ tsp
- Red pepper flakes – ¼ tsp
- Wide pasta (such as pappardelle) – 450 g
- Fresh basil – for serving
Directions:
- Add chopped onion, carrot, and celery to the pan. Fry, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- Place minced chicken and spicy Italian sausage in the pan, having previously removed the casing. Fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and red pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and leave to simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
- Boil pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the package. Then drain the water.
- Transfer the finished pasta to the pan with sauce, and mix thoroughly.
- Arrange on plates, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.
