Bacon and eggs are a classic that has become a symbol of a hearty and appetizing start to the day. When you think about how to cook delicious bacon and eggs, the first thing you imagine is crispy, golden bacon and tender, airy eggs filling the house with the aroma of morning comfort.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons butter
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 450 g bacon
Directions:
- In a bowl, crack 4 eggs and whisk vigorously. This is important to incorporate as much air as possible, which will give the scramble its tenderness.
- Melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium heat until it starts to foam. Cover the bottom of the pan completely with it so that the eggs don’t stick.
- Reduce the heat to medium and pour the eggs into the centre of the pan, trying to distribute them evenly.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with foil for easier clean-up. If you have a rack, place it on top for best results.
- Place the bacon in a single layer on the baking tray and cook until cooked to your desired doneness. Check after 10 minutes, but bacon should take about 15 minutes on average.
- When the bacon is crispy and golden, remove it to paper towels to drain any excess fat.
