Baked Fish In Milk Sauce

Fish cooked with milk sauce is a great option. It is easy to prepare, but you need to buy cod fillets, carrots and onions, milk, flour, as well as salt and ground black pepper in advance. Such fish must be served with a side dish. Therefore, we also recommend cooking rice.

Ingredients:

  • Cod fillet 1 kg.
  • Carrot 1 pc.
  • Onion 1-2 pcs.
  • Wheat flour 2 tablespoons
  • Milk 1 l.
  • Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
  • Bay leaf 2 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. First, we need fish fillets. It is best to use cod for this recipe. Cut the fillets into portioned pieces. Pour wheat flour, salt, and ground black pepper into a separate plate. Mix these three components thoroughly and dip the fish pieces in them. Send the cod to a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil and fry until a golden crust appears on both sides.
  2. Now peel one large onion. Cut them into thin half rings. Send to a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil. Fry.
  3. At the same time, peel the carrots. Grate them on a coarse grater and send them to a frying pan with onions. Sauté the vegetables over medium heat with the lid closed. Stir them periodically.
  4. After that, add milk to the vegetables. Mix everything well and bring to a boil.
  5. When the mass boils, it must be poured into the pan with the fish. Bring the mass to a boil again and cook for another 5 minutes. The fish is ready.
  6. At the next stage, prepare any side dish. Rice tastes perfect with fish.
