In cooking, there is an infinite number of pizza recipes that can satisfy different taste buds. For example, cauliflower pizza is prepared without the use of meat and wheat flour. Therefore, it is ideal for a gluten-free diet.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower 500 g
  • Chicken eggs 1 piece
  • Parmesan cheese 80 g
  • Almondalm petals 160 g
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Dried marjoram 1/2 tsp.
  • Salt 1/2 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper 1/4 tsp.
    For filling and decoration
  • Mozzarella cheese 150 g
  • Tomato sauce 130 ml
  • Paprika 1/2 tsp.
  • Basil 2 sprigs

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Wash the cauliflower, dry it with a paper towel, and divide it into florets. Grind into crumbs with the help of a blender.
  2. Put the resulting mass on a cotton towel or gauze and squeeze it. Chop the almond petals with a knife. Peel the garlic and cut it into small cubes.
  3. In a deep bowl, mix cauliflower with egg, grated cheese, almond petals, garlic, salt, and spices. Knead the mass thoroughly.
  4. Put the resulting “dough” on baking paper or a silicone mat. Form a circle with a diameter of 18-20 cm. Carefully transfer it to a hot baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. The base should harden and brown.
  5. Meanwhile, grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater. Set aside a little cheese for the top layer (1/5 part), and sprinkle the rest over the base.
  6. Fry the pizza with tomato sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella. Send to the oven for 5-7 minutes, and then sprinkle with paprika and decorate with basil leaves.
  7. Cauliflower pizza should be served hot or reheated. Despite the absence of meat and flour, it has a wonderful taste. When baked, cauliflower is saturated with the taste and aroma of salty cheese, almond petals, spicy garlic and spices. This base is complemented by sweet and sour tomato sauce and chewy mozzarella.
