There are many ways to cook chicken liver. The most common is to fry it in a pan with chopped onions. However, few people realize that liver goes great with fruit. For example, chicken liver with apples is easy to cook, and the result is a real culinary masterpiece.
Ingredients:
- Chicken liver – 300 g
- Milk – 200 ml
- Apple – 2 pcs.
- Butter – 1 tbsp.
- Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp.
- Salt – 1/4 tsp.
- Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp.
- Dried oregano – 1/4 tsp.
- Sour cream 20% – 300 ml
Directions:
- Wash the chicken liver thoroughly. Place the liver in a deep bowl, pour in milk, and leave for 20 minutes.
- Cut the apples in half, and remove the seeds. Cut into small slices.
- Heat the butter and sunflower oil in a frying pan. Place the sliced apples and fry on both sides until golden brown. Transfer the finished apples to a bowl.
- Place the liver in the frying pan in which the apples were fried and fry until the color changes (5-7 minutes).
- Place the half-fried liver in a baking dish (20x13x4 cm), salt, pepper, and mix. Spread the fried apples on top.
- Mix sour cream with oregano and pour the resulting mixture over the liver and apples. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Chicken liver with apples has an original, bright taste, so serve it with neutral side dishes.
