Chicken Liver With Apples

There are many ways to cook chicken liver. The most common is to fry it in a pan with chopped onions. However, few people realize that liver goes great with fruit. For example, chicken liver with apples is easy to cook, and the result is a real culinary masterpiece.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken liver – 300 g
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Apple – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 1 tbsp.
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp.
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp.
  • Dried oregano – 1/4 tsp.
  • Sour cream 20% – 300 ml

Directions:

  1. Wash the chicken liver thoroughly. Place the liver in a deep bowl, pour in milk, and leave for 20 minutes.
  2. Cut the apples in half, and remove the seeds. Cut into small slices.
  3. Heat the butter and sunflower oil in a frying pan. Place the sliced ​​apples and fry on both sides until golden brown. Transfer the finished apples to a bowl.
  4. Place the liver in the frying pan in which the apples were fried and fry until the color changes (5-7 minutes).
  5. Place the half-fried liver in a baking dish (20x13x4 cm), salt, pepper, and mix. Spread the fried apples on top.
  6. Mix sour cream with oregano and pour the resulting mixture over the liver and apples. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 15 minutes.
  7. Chicken liver with apples has an original, bright taste, so serve it with neutral side dishes.
