Caesar salad is rightfully considered one of the most popular salads, which can be ordered in almost every cafe and restaurant. However, it can be easily prepared at home if you follow detailed step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet 2 pcs.
- Iceberg lettuce 1 piece
- Parmesan cheese 200 g
- Salt 1/2 tsp.
- Ground black pepper 1/4 tsp.
- Chicken eggs 1 piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Sunflower oil 150 ml
- Olive oil 100 ml
- Dijon mustard 1.5 tbsp.
- Worcester sauce 1 tsp.
 For croutons
- Bread 200 g
- Sunflower oil 100 ml
- Garlic 2 cloves
Directions:
- Rub the chicken fillet with salt and pepper and cook in boiling water until done (20-25 minutes). Transfer the fillet to a plate and let it cool completely. Then cut into thin slices.
- To prepare the sauce, lower the egg into boiling water for exactly 1 minute. Let it cool slightly and mix in a blender bowl.
- Also, put peeled garlic, mustard, Worcester sauce, refined vegetable oil, and olive oil here. Salt, pepper, and beat until smooth. Taste and add a little more salt or pepper if necessary.
- Cut the bread (you can use ciabatta if you wish) into small cubes. Place the pieces on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Using a blender, beat the butter with garlic. Pour the garlic oil over the croutons, mix thoroughly, and distribute evenly over the baking sheet. Place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 4-5 minutes.
- Cut half of the Parmesan into thin slices using a vegetable peeler. Grate the rest on a fine grater.
- Tear the iceberg lettuce leaves with your hands into pieces that are easy to eat. Remove the tough bases of the leaves.
- In a deep bowl, mix the iceberg lettuce with 1-2 tablespoons of sauce and grated Parmesan. Arrange on serving plates. Put the sliced fillet on top. Sprinkle with croutons and Parmesan petals. Serve with the prepared sauce.
- If desired, you can fry the chicken fillet in batter or bake it in the oven to get an appetizing golden crust. However, remember that this will increase the calorie content of the dish.
