One of the main components of Italian cuisine is delicious pasta with various additions. We suggest making classic carbonara with bacon at home.
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti – 500 g
- Bacon – 300 g
- Olive oil – 7 tbsp.
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Parmesan cheese – 100 g
- Egg yolk – 6 pcs.
- Salt – 1/4 tsp.
- Ground black pepper – 1/3 tsp.
Directions:
- First, boil the spaghetti. To do this, pour 2 liters of water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, add salt, stir and pour in 6 tbsp of olive oil. Lower the spaghetti into the boiling water. Lower the spaghetti gradually, as they soften. Cook the spaghetti for 2-3 minutes less than indicated on the package.
- Meanwhile, cut the bacon into cubes or thin strips. Peel the garlic, crush it with the flat side of a knife, and chop it finely.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan. Add the bacon, garlic and fry, stirring, for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Grate the cheese on a fine grater and transfer to a bowl. Pour in 9-10 tbsp of hot water from the saucepan with the spaghetti. Mix thoroughly.
- Mix the yolks and put them in a bowl with the cheese. Mix thoroughly.
- Quickly transfer the cooked spaghetti to a preheated frying pan. Add the sauce and mix thoroughly. Also, add the bacon and garlic mixture. Add salt and pepper and serve.
- It is advisable to serve the classic carbonara immediately after cooking, before the melted cheese has had time to harden. Spaghetti goes well with salty smoked bacon and egg-cheese sauce. Therefore, having tried this dish, you will understand that there is nothing superfluous in it and it does not require any other additions.
