Cupcake In a Cup In 5 Minutes

Need a quick chocolatey snack? Try this easy microwaveable mug cake with store-bought ingredients. It’s even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp. flour
  • 4 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. milk
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • a few drops of vanilla/orange/mint essence
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins

Directions:

  1. To make a cupcake in the microwave, take the largest mug you have. This is important, as this will prevent the dough from spilling over the edges and dirtying your equipment inside during cooking.
  2. Pour the flour, powder, and cocoa into the bowl and mix. Add the egg and mix well with a fork. Add the milk, oil, and aromatic essence of your choice.
  3. Continue mixing the dough until it becomes smooth and homogeneous. Last, add the filling – dried fruits, nut,s or chocolate chips. Mix so that it is distributed throughout the future dessert.
  4. Place the mug in the center of the microwave and cook on high power for one and a half to two minutes.
  5. The cupcake should rise and become dense to the touch.
  6. You can also make a cupcake in the microwave without milk. To do this, replace it with the same amount of water.
