Homemade Almond Butter

Nut butter is a popular addition to breakfasts and desserts, and is rapidly gaining popularity. It is also prepared at home. For example, homemade almond butter consists of one ingredient and does not contain dyes, flavors, or preservatives found in store-bought treats.

Ingredients:

  • Almonds – 260 g

Directions:

  1. Place the almonds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 10 minutes until the nutty aroma appears. Stir the nuts occasionally.
  2. Remove the baking sheet and let the nuts cool slightly.
  3. Add the toasted nuts to the blender bowl. Grind at high speed.
  4. After a few minutes, the almonds will begin to release oil, turning into a more flexible paste, and then into soft butter. The process itself takes about 15 minutes. Once you get the desired consistency, transfer the oil to an airtight jar.
  5. Homemade almond butter has a thick, delicate texture and a pleasant nutty taste with sweet notes of almond.
  6. Use the finished delicacy as an addition to pancakes, fritters, waffles, or sweet sandwiches. Store in the refrigerator for no more than a month.
