What makes this recipe unique is that it is keto-friendly. The ingredients listed are for 4 hot dogs.
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese 9% – 360 g
- Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
- Egg yolk – 2 pcs.
- Almond flour – 100 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Salt – 1/4 tsp.
- Sausages – 4 pcs.
- Lettuce leaves – to taste
- Ketchup – to taste
- Mustard – to taste
- Jalapeño pepper – to taste
Directions:
- Place cottage cheese, eggs, yolks, salt, and peeled garlic in a blender bowl. Grind until smooth. Combine the resulting mass with flour and make dough.
- Divide the dough into 4 parts. Form a ball from each part and form an elongated hot dog bun. Place the blanks on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, peel the sausages from the casing and fry on the grill or in a frying pan until golden brown.
- To assemble the hot dogs, cut the cooled buns lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. Grease the inside of each bun with ketchup. Place lettuce leaves and a sausage inside. Pour over ketchup and/or mustard and, if desired, garnish with jalapeno pepper slices.
- Unusual buns made from cottage cheese and almond flour are soft and tender. They perfectly complement golden-brown sausages, juicy salad, spicy sauces, and hot jalapeno peppers.
