Mulled Wine

It is impossible to describe a “classic” recipe for mulled wine. Due to its absence. In Europe, there is even a tradition when a guest in a house brews mulled wine for the whole company, using a recipe known only to him. The main thing when preparing a drink is to follow a couple of basic rules and not be afraid to create and experiment.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of dry semi-sweet red wine
  • 1/2 apple or 2 plums (you can use both)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • juice of half a lemon
  • nutmeg – 2-3 pieces
  • black pepper – 3-4 pieces

Directions:

  1. Cut the fruit and add the spices.
  2. Pour the wine into the pan.
  3. Add the lemon juice.
  4. Add the fruit, sugar, and spices.
  5. Put on the stove, cover with a lid, and start heating the mulled wine.
  6. It is important not to bring it to a boil! The mulled wine is ready.
  7. Pour into mugs and serve.
