The recipe for spaghetti Bolognese becomes a real culinary journey, immersing you in the atmosphere of Italian traditions.
Ingredients:
- 500g ground beef
- 400g spaghetti
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, finely chopped
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 800g tomatoes in their own juice, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Let’s start by preparing the vegetables: finely chop the onion, carrot, and celery.
- Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and add the carrot, and celery, and continue cooking until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the same pan
- Fry until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Add the minced garlic and fry together for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the red wine to the minced meat. Let the wine boil down to half its volume.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, bay leaves, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 15 minutes before the sauce is ready, cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente.
- Drain the excess water from the pasta and add to the prepared sauce. Stir thoroughly so that the spaghetti is completely immersed in the aromatic sauce.
- Serve the pasta bolognese hot, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
