Pasta with bacon and cream is a dish that combines an appetizing taste and a delicate texture. Bacon, fried until crispy golden, gives the pasta a unique aroma and a slightly salty taste. Cream, in turn, gives a delicate texture and pleasant creamy notes. Seasoned with a mixture of dried Italian herbs, such pasta becomes a real gastronomic pleasure. Pasta with bacon and cream is a great choice for those who like to enjoy hearty and delicious dishes.
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti – 200 g
- Water – 2 l
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp
For the sauce:
- Bacon – 200 g
- Cream 20% – 150 ml
- Egg yolk – 1 piece
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp
- Italian herb mix – to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Salt – to taste
For serving:
- Cheese – to taste
- Cherry tomatoes – to taste
- Basil – to taste
Directions:
- Pour water and salt into a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Drop the spaghetti for pasta with bacon and cream into the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions. Traditionally, you need to cook until al dente (cook a couple of minutes less than indicated on the package). Also, some manufacturers initially indicate how long you need to cook the pasta al dente.
- At this time, quickly begin to prepare the sauce for the pasta with bacon, so that all the ingredients are hot by the time you combine and serve. Cut the bacon strips into small squares. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan.
- Place the bacon and fry it over medium heat until golden. Then pour in the cream and stir. Simmer for one minute.
- Add the mixture of dried Italian herbs to the resulting creamy sauce. Salt, pepper, and stir. Drain the finished pasta in a colander. Drizzle with olive oil and stir. Add the prepared pasta to the pan with the sauce. Stir, heat on the stove for about one minute, and then remove the pan from the stove.
- Add the egg yolk to the hot pasta and stir quickly. If desired and in doubt, you can skip this step. Serve the finished pasta with bacon and cream, garnished with grated cheese, basil leaves, and cherry tomato halves. Enjoy!
- Serve the pasta with bacon and cream immediately after cooking, optionally complemented with a glass of wine and toasted baguette slices. This dish captivates with its bright, rich taste. In it, tender pasta harmoniously combines with a creamy sauce, fried spicy baco,n and a bouquet of aromatic spices. And grated cheese and cherry tomatoes make this dish more sophisticated.
