Japanese dishes are becoming increasingly popular in many countries of the world. At the same time, chefs often use them as a basis for culinary experiments. So, for example, lazy rolls, sushi salads, and cakes appeared. One of them is the invented sushi burger – an unusual, tasty snack that has the taste of “Philadelphia” rolls.
Ingredients:
- Round rice – 100 g
- Lightly salted salmon – 150 g
- Cream cheese – 80 g
- Cucumbers – 1 piece
- Nori – 4 pcs. (letters)
- Rice vinegar – 2 tsp.
- Salt – 1/2 tsp.
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp.
- Sesame – to taste
Directions:
- Boil the rice in boiling salted water until ready.
- While the rice is cooking, prepare the rest of the ingredients. Cut lightly salted fish into small cubes. Remove the ends from the cucumber. Cut the fruit itself into small cubes.
- In a bowl, mix rice vinegar with sugar and salt. The mixture should be stirred until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Pour the resulting vinegar dressing over the rice. Mix thoroughly.
- Place a sheet of nori on the work surface. Place a salad ring on top in the center. Put a quarter of the rice in the ring. Distribute it inside the ring.
- Fry this layer with half of the cream cheese and put half of the chopped lightly salted fish on it. Sprinkle the fish with sesame seeds and place the cucumbers on top.
- Put a quarter of the rice as the final layer. While holding the filling, carefully remove the salad ring.
- Wet the edges of the nori sheet a little with water and, lifting the edges, wrap the filling, giving it a rounded shape. Then wet the second sheet of nori, cover the sushi burger with it, and wrap the workpiece again. In this way, prepare the second sushi burger. Serve, topped with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi, if desired. Bon appétit!
- Serve the dry burgers immediately after cooking to enjoy their taste as much as possible. Like popular rolls, this dish has an unsurpassed bright taste: under a sheet of nori hides the most delicate rice, which harmonizes with lightly salted salmon, juicy cucumber, and soft cheese.
